JOHN MALCOLM
John has a unique style of guitar playing, which brings classical and flamenco virtuoso techniques into what might otherwise be described as Alternative Folk-Rock. His lyrics are edgy and clearly delivered.
Although he has not exploited mainstream media, he is well known to thousands of people who followed his live work, particularly in the 80‘s and 90‘s when he played every week to packed rooms at The Story Bridge Hotel and The Embassy Hotel, having first built up a core following at The Royal Exchange Hotel. Many of his followers have since been scattered far and wide, and somehow a bit of core group has settled around Lismore and lobbied to get John on the Festival.
